Utah Expungement Attorney Matthew Kober helps people who have been arrested or charged with a crime remove these items from their court or criminal record. He is the first attorney to have an application pending to remove a client from the sex offender registry. Matthew also practices personal injury, civil litigation, and criminal defense.
Matthew has significant experience in expunging criminal records, clearing any arrests reports, criminal charges, or convictions off one’s criminal record, as well as removing qualified persons from the sex offender registry. This important service gives people who made mistakes early in their life an opportunity to clear their court record and become proud of their name once again.
Matthew also defends people who have been arrested by the police or charged by the prosecuting attorney. Although Matthew’s criminal practice is now exclusively devoted to defending persons charged with crimes, he has significant experience from both the prosecuting side and from the court side as well. Matthew has worked in varying capacities for the Utah County Attorney’s Office, Salt Lake County Attorney’s Office, and the United States Attorney’s Office. Matthew also spent a summer as an extern for the Honorable Paul Cassell of the United States District Court of Utah. These experiences give Matthew a unique perspective in handling criminal cases to provide the best representation possible.
Matthew recently completed advanced personal injury training and received the Motor Vehicle Occupant Injury Certificate from the Personal Injury Training Institute. This is a prestigious award that only three other attorneys in the state held at the time of completion. Additionally, Matthew was named one of Utah’s Top 40 Under 40 civil litigators by the National Trial Lawyers. This award is by invitation only and is only awarded to the nation’s top young trial attorneys. These awards distinguish Matthew as one of the top personal injury attorneys in Utah.
Matthew earned his bachelor’s degree in International Law & Diplomacy from Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah. He attended his first year of law school in Detroit, Michigan, where he was ranked in the top 5 percent in his first year class. Mr. Kober graduated and earned his law degree from the S.J.
